Congress is being asked again to look out for the rights of parents.
Michael Ramey, executive director of ParentalRights.org, tells OneNewsNow it is a longtime tradition that parents have the right to oversee the upbringing of their children.
“But in the last 20 years or so, ever since the latest Supreme Court decision on parental rights really kind of lowered the legal standard that’s required for protecting those rights,” he warns, “we’re seeing across the states, in the hospitals, in the courtrooms and doctor’s offices, and in the schools, and wherever else, we’re seeing an erosion of those rights.”
