The day before Thanksgiving, Seattle Seahawks’ Christian quarterback, Russell Wilson, shared what he is thankful for—his family being at the top of the list.
During a Wednesday interview, instead of highlighting his Super Bowl ring, nearly $90 million contract, or his sprawling mansion, the man of faith gave thanks for his wife and kids.
“I’m thankful for my family and I’m just thankful for love, thankful for my wife, and who she is, the person that she is, and what she means to our family,” said Russell of his better half, Ciara Harris, a 33-year-old R&B singer, and mom of two. The couple wed in July 2016.
“I’m thankful for kids. I’ve always wanted to have kids. I’ve always loved children,” continued the 29-year-old. “I knew I was going to have kids at some point in my lifetime, but I never knew that it was going to be the greatest miracle that I would ever experience.”
He shares one daughter, Sienna, with his wife Ciara, and is the stepfather of Future Jr., his wife’s 4-year-old son from a previous relationship.
