My heart goes out for all the lives lost and impacted by the utter devastation of Hurricane Michael. Which hit the Florida Panhandle, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina and Georgia extremely hard. Prior to the Hurricane Michael’s path of pure destruction President Donald Trump verbally trashed Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum. Who is running as a candidate for the governorship in Florida. To add insult to injury when Hurricane Michael survivors were in tears weeping and totally overwhelmed by the magnitude of it all. President Trump was meeting in the White House Oval Office with Rapper Kanye West. Who foolishly wants to get rid of the 13th Amendment which abolished slavery, and went on an unbelievable cussing rant and Kanye supports Trump diatribe.

The survivors of Hurricane Michael, many of whom are poor and oppressed, deserve better. Also in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams faces the forward fight against voter suppression of the minority community by her outrageous opponent, Secretary of State Brian Kemp. The bottomline is in the upcoming Mid Term Elections on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, all of the soul survivors of Hurricane Trump must vote out of Office, and vote in full force against, any candidate who supports the shameful racism, classism, and sexism of the Trump era. Regardless of how good or how bad the economy is doing!!! No more putting migrant children in cages, no more Muslim travel bans; no more cutting Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare!!! THE BUCK STOPS HERE!!! On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, stop Hurricane Trump by voting against all of his candidates. Force Trump to clearly understand the true meaning of “We the people.”

Just as President Trump is always silent when Black men are shot dead by corrupt cops. President Trump is silent regarding journalist Jamal Khashoggi being killed and cut into pieces at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Silence means consent. Trump loudly mocked Black NFL players for kneeling in protest. Trump loudly mocked Congresswoman Maxine Walters by falsely stating that she has a low I.Q. Trump loudly mocked and laughed at sexual assault victim, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, at a political rally. Shame on any Christian, shame on any Republican, shame on any voter, who voted for Trump just to get a Supreme Court pick. The buck stops here! November 6, 2018, we must rise up as a true Christ centered coalition and vote out of office any and every candidate who supports the racist, classist, and sexist policies of President Trump.

President Donald Trump, Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Senator Lindsey Graham stop the selfish spin against women who speak up and stand up against institutionalized sexism in the United States Senate and the White House.

The tremendous wave of women of purpose who moved forward in peaceful, positive, and progressive protest against Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s ascent to the Supreme Court are not “an angry mob.” No, these powerful women of purpose truly represent the current and the crucial catalyst of change in America. The catalyst of change which is a crystal clear clarion call to the concerned citizens of America. To challenge the people to rise up and vote against any Senator, and any Congress member, in the midterm elections, who support the shameful racism, classism, and sexism of the Trump administration and the current Republican party. Verbally beating up and abusing sexual assault survivors is not a win for America. It is the act of selling the traditional American soul of the Republican Party to the devil.

America, the Legalization of Marijuana is Not the Answer

The effort to legalize marijuana is an absolute cop-out to make more money for the states. It is not a sincere effort to confront the hard core issues of marijuana misuse and substance abuse in New York and states across America.

Marijuana is extremely addictive, and it literally destroys both mental and physical health in the lives of misusers and abusers.

However, legalizing medical marijuana, where it is clearly medically warranted, watched and carefully administered by trained medical professionals, is the wiser choice.

Currently, we have blatant discrimination in marijuana arrests all over America in which African-Americans and Latinos are arrested in far greater percentages than white people. An effort is greatly needed to fight double standards.

Summonses to appear in court, instead of arrests, can free up much needed funds for substance abuse prevention.

The unjust, racist double standard regarding arrests should be stopped, but not the illegal use of marijuana.

Most of all, a plan and push for substance abuse prevention and training is needed to transform the deeply wounded soul of America. When someone is totally high on marijuana and is committing horrible acts of physical, verbal, mental and sexual abuse, the laws against marijuana use are needed.
