President Trump took a swipe at former attorney general Eric Holder on Thursday, after the Obama administration’s top lawman called on Democrats to shelve the kinder, gentler high road cleared out by Michelle Obama and rhetorically ‘kick’ Republicans.
‘He’d better be careful what he’s wishing for,’ Trump said in a ‘Fox & Friends’ interview. ‘That’s a disgusting statement for him to make.’
Democrats ‘have to be careful with the rhetoric because it’s very dangerous what Holder says,’ the president added.
Holder had delivered a message to Georgia Democrats, saying: ‘Michelle always says that, you know, “When they go low, we go high.” No, when they go low we kick them!’
‘And that’s what this new Democratic Party is about,’ he said. ‘We’re proud as hell to be Democrats. We’re going to fight for the ideals of the Democratic Party.’
