Democratic Senator Cory Booker is rumored to be dating a woman who worked with him on his mayoral campaign.
Booker met Chanda Gibson, a single mother to two toddler boys, when the pair worked together on his 2002 mayoral campaign in Newark, New Jersey.
A source told Page Six the pair have been dating ‘on and off for years’, but for some reason, their dalliances have been kept strictly under wraps.
‘No one could understand why he told her their relationship is secret,’ the source said.
At this point in time, it has not been confirmed if Booker, 49, and Gibson, 44, are actively dating.
Booker is now a Senator for New Jersey, who serves on the judiciary committee that approved Brett Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS nomination.
He spoke out strongly against Kavanaugh, and is thought to be considering a 2020 presidential run.
Gibson is currently the executive director of the Council of Urban Professionals, but left her job as an attorney 16 years ago to help Booker.
On her Linkedin account, Gibson says once she moved from California to New Jersey, she never looked back.
After her six months working as Booker’s scheduler, she went on to help found America Needs You – New Jersey, which helps to mentor first generation college students, and later spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs.
