Homeless Man Passes Out Résumés in Silicon Valley Instead of Asking for Food

We all know how hard (and expensive) it can be to live, work, and play in the Bay Area.

Whether it’s skyrocketing real estate or ever-increasing toll bridge hikes, it seems like money is on the mind of many.

We’ve all seen signs displayed by homeless people here in the Bay and nationwide.

From soliciting food or booze to money and clothes, the signs can vary.

But one local homeless man’s personal sign prompted an outpouring of community support to help fulfill what the man was asking for — a job.

Jasmine Scofield first posted a photo of homeless college grad David Casarez on Friday.

Scofield tells KRON4 she was pulling up to the stop light on the corner of El Camino and San Antonio in Mountain View when she spotted David.

His sign read, “Homeless Hungry 4 Success Take A Resume.”

She then posted a photo of David’s resume on Twitter.
