Yes, the Devil Is Driving These So-Called ‘Active Shooters,’ but It Behooves People to Leave Them Alone

One of the things that I have told people over the past ten years or so is that in these perilous times it would be wise to leave people alone. What I mean by that is if you are not going to witness to somebody about Christ or help them in some way, it is best to leave people alone. From mass shootings to school shootings to road rage – obviously there is a devil loose and busy and there are obviously many people who are like the rapper who said “Don’t push me because I am close to the edge.”

Take the sad story of the kid in Santa Fe, Texas, shooting his fellow classmates.

USA Today reports:

The family of one of the victims say they believe their daughter was targeted because she repeatedly rejected the gunman’s advances to date her. Sadie Rodriguez, the mother of Shana Fisher, 16, told the Los Angeles Times the shooting followed four months of advances from Pagourtzis.

As the horror unfolded, Pagourtzis roamed from classroom to classroom, taunting students and blasting away as they made ill-fated efforts to elude or hide from his barrage of gunfire.

About a half hour after the shooting began, Pagourtzis gave himself up, telling authorities he had targeted students he didn’t like.

Yes, it is all his fault, and his parents can take some blame as well. And yes he must take responsibility and blames and suffer the consequences of his behaviour and he can’t blame his classmates or anybody else. But because we are living in perilous times where many people are already standing close to the edge, DON’T PUSH THEM. LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE!

“But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
