A Nevada graphic design teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a student.
Maren Nicole Oates, 33, was arrested on Thursday and is being held on $20,000 bail.
Oates taught graphic design at the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology in Reno.
She was placed on administrative leave from the school in light of her arrest.
She was taken in by Washoe County School police and booked into Washoe County jail on a charge of school employee engaged in sex with a pupil, according to KOLO.
The school district released a statement saying an investigation is taking place.
