The house where rocker brothers Ronnie, Donnie and Johnny Van Sant grew up in is now an official historic site in Florida.
A plaque marking the home as a Florida historic site will be unveiled in Jacksonville on Saturday. The plaque will tell of how Ronnie helped found the legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynryd, how Johnny sang in the band, and how Donnie helped form .38 Special. It will recognize their contribution to rock music.
According to the Florida Times-Union, local entrepreneur Todd Smith is restoring the home to make it look like a 1970s time capsule.
