Dear readers, despicable news such as this is just one more reason to forsake all hope in this sinful world. Sometimes, it is just hard to believe that these types of things are taking place and they are even more difficult to stomach. Morgan Summerlin, a 25-year-old Georgia woman, who cannot possibly be called a ‘mother’ in the true sense of the word, pleaded guilty recently to taking her daughters, ages 5 and 6, to two men’s houses to be raped by them in exchange for cash.
According to CW39 NewsFix & MyFox8, “One of those men, 78-year-old Richard ‘Pop’ Office, was found guilty on Tuesday of rape, child molestation, trafficking a person for sexual servitude, enticing a child for indecent purposes and sexual battery. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus 146 additional years. Summerlin also allowed Alfredo Trejo to abuse the girls in multiple and similar ways. Trejo was convicted of rape, sexual battery, child molestation and aggravated child molestation. He was sentenced to 25 years and life on probation. The children’s grandmother, Teresa Davidson, also pleaded guilty to cruelty to children for failing to protect the girls after they told her they were being abused. She was sentenced to five years in prison. Summerlin pleaded guilty to cruelty to children, trafficking a person for sexual servitude and enticing a child for indecent purposes. She will be sentenced on June 4.”
One question: why did Summerlin choose to essentially prostitute her little girls for money instead of her own adult self? This just further proves she cared nothing for her precious daughters, willingly offering them up to be defiled by devilish men. Not to mention, as we all know, there are LEGITIMATE ways to make money for someone so seemingly desperate, like working at a fast food restaurant for example. Perhaps the judge who is presiding over this case should consider handing down the death penalty to the adults involved for their outrageously evil actions. Whatever the final outcome, please pray first for the girls to overcome this tragic start to their young lives and to go on to live as safe and blessed lives as possible from this point forward. Pray also for the girls’ abusers, including Summerlin and Davidson, to come to salvation in Christ and have their hearts purified in Him before they find themselves standing before the Judge of the universe being condemned to Hell.
