The police department said on Twitter that they would provide updates when they could and asked the public to pray for the injured officers and their families.

Witness Mercedes Goledo described to Fox 4 how the incident unfolded.

“We were just checking out people until we started hearing people like ‘There’s a shooting. They’re shooting,'” Goledo said. “From there, they were just telling us to get out of the building. Get out the building. But then they found out that he had went outside.”
