Broadway actress Ruthie Ann Miles is out of the ICU and “healing” after the Brooklyn crash that killed her 4-year-old daughter and another child on Monday. “Thank you for your prayers over our families and holding us in our pain,” read a statement sent from the actress’ Twitter account. “We are extremely grateful for your kindness and generosity. Ruthie is now out of ICU and healing, by all accounts it is a miracle our second child is unharmed.” On Wednesday, Mayor Bill de Blasio said he wished that the driver in the crash, Dorothy Bruns, had been arrested. Bruns, who has multiple sclerosis and was “foaming at the mouth” when she was taken into custody, was likely suffering a seizure when she slammed into 1-year-old Joshua Lew and 4-year-old Abigail Blumenstein, according to the New York Daily News. Her car had previously been ticketed for running four red lights and speeding through a school zone. “I wish she was under arrest right now,” de Blasio said. “This should never have happened. She should have never been allowed to be driving a car after what we know,” he added.
