Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Wednesday pushed back against President Trump’s latest attack over his handling of the investigation into alleged abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, saying he will continue to serve with “integrity and honor.” In a statement, Sessions said that the Department of Justice has “initiated the appropriate process that will ensure complaints against Department will be fully and fairly acted upon if necessary.” He will serve with “integrity and honor” so long as he is the AG, and the DOJ will continue its work in a “fair and impartial manner,” Sessions said. His statement comes as the president scolded Sessions on Twitter Wednesday morning for turning over the FISA investigation to the Department’s Inspector General, calling the move “DISGRACEFUL!”
