Let God Touch You, by Daniel Whyte III

Daniel Whyte IIIwith Meriqua Whyte and Daniella Whyte

Dear Daughters & YBW:

I want you to know that you are a special blessing from God. As far as I am concerned, the greatest gift to God’s green earth has been women. God has blessed you to be a woman. In my opinion, without you, this world would be incomplete and colorless. Without a woman, the Son of God would have never been born. So, I must join T.D. Jakes in saying, “God loves His girls.” The world may be hostile towards you, but God loves you very much, and you need to keep that in your heart and mind throughout the vicissitudes of life.

In this, my second letter to you, I want to encourage you to let God touch you — deeply. For some reason, traditionally, women have been more attracted to the Lord than men have been. The first people to the tomb were women; many of Jesus’ followers were women. If you are not a follower of His, you need to get to know Him for yourself. In order to do that, you must open up your heart to Him, and let Him touch you. Well, you say, how do I do that? I’m glad you asked.

I was raised in the church, but I got saved outside of the church because I never heard a clear, understandable, presentation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ while in the church. So, listen closely to what I’m about to tell you:

First of all, understand that you are a sinner like the rest of us. Yes, believe it or not, each one of us born into this world has sinned.
All of us have broken the laws of God. The Bible states plainly:

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23

Second, God wants us to understand that because of our sin, there is a great punishment and that punishment is death — both spiritual death and physical death. You see, because of sin, we die physically, but also because of sin, we die spiritually. This spiritual death is actually eternal separation from God in a place called Hell. Notice what God’s Word says about this death in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Also consider the following verse from Revelation 21:8:

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Third, after realizing our sad and condemned condition, God wants us to understand that He loves us more than we love ourselves. He loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to live, suffer, shed His blood, and die on Calvary’s cross for your sin and mine. After Jesus’ earth-shaking death that day, He was buried and three days later He rose by the power of God.

Consider the following verse from John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

In order to really know God, you must go through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Notice what Jesus Christ said about Himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Jesus Christ is the only way to joy, peace, and to eternal life. Here is how to accept Him into your heart according to the Scriptures:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” —Romans 10:9

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” —Romans 10:13

Dear YBW, if you want to know God, the source of all love, joy, peace, real happiness and true success, believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again for you, and ask Him to come into your heart and save you. He will. You have God’s Word on it.

Yours for Letting God Touch You,

TALK TO GOD: Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I have broken your commandments. I now believe with all my heart that you — Jesus Christ, died, was buried, and rose on the third day. I am now ready for you to become the Lord of my life. Please come into my heart and save my soul and live within me forever. Thank you for your love and for your forgiveness. In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen!
