dfree® (www.mydfree.org) the global Financial Freedom Movement that is empowering organizations and individuals to lead richer lives by improving how they think about and manage money, makes an aggressive move to infiltrate culture with its message of economic empowerment by partnering with media giant BET on a digital campaign that will run through the month of February.
dfree® kicked off the year with a bold BET Digital campaign celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The campaign features celebrities including Jussie Smollett, Taraji P. Henson, Remy Ma, 50 Cent, Mike Epps, Tank, Chloe x Halle and more reflecting on how the legacy of Dr. King inspires them. Also included in the campaign is dfree® executive director and Spelman College graduate Tamika Stembridge, Esq. The poignant clip can be viewed here: MLK Inspires Me…Brought to You by dfree
Additionally, dfree® is participating in MLK Week events in New Jersey, Texas and South Carolina to reiterate its message of economic freedom as a social justice issue, in the spirit of Reverend King, who said “We must never let it be said that we spend more for the evanescent and ephemeral than for the eternal values of freedom and justice.” One of the events was the Course Correction Conversation in Dallas, presented by community organization The Urban Specialists. After hearing from speakers that included Senator Ted Cruz, Dee-1, Scarface, Rico Love, Deion Sanders and more, dfree® founder Reverend DeForest Soaries provided crucial closing remarks. “Our people don’t look the same, our people don’t dress the same, but our people have a responsibility to pass on to future generations a legacy of prosperity, of power and of freedom.…We are seeing a coming together, from Brooklyn to Baton Rouge, of young men and women who have decided to make this country the America that Dr. King begged America to be.”
dfree® is the transformational, lifestyle movement that promotes financial freedom through values-based principles and practical approaches to financial management. The organization offers workshops, webinars, and a repository of information and insights. Visit www.mydfree.org for more information.
