TED Talks Reportedly Grappling With Sexual Harassment Claims

A new exposé from The Washington Post revealed that at least five people, including a previous main stage speaker, told TED officials that they were harassed or groped at the organization’s conference in April this year. “We did hear from a small number of women attendees at TED2017 about harassment. As a result, two men were immediately dis-invited and won’t be returning,” TED said in a statement to the paper. In one of the email exchanges reviewed by the Post, a long-time attendee allegedly complained of sexual harassment and decided to leave the conference entirely.
