A 12-year-old girl was found brutally murdered in her Tennessee mobile home last week after texting her mother that someone was knocking on the door.
Yhoana Arteaga was last seen by her mom at approximately 12:30 p.m. as they had lunch on Thursday, according to WKRN. Yhoana’s mother said her daughter texted her around 5:30 p.m., and the child’s body was found in the trailer in Goodlettsville just more than one hour later.
Yhoana’s clothing was in disarray, according to the station, and authorities say blunt force trauma was a factor in her death.
“She was brutally murdered, and if anyone has any information whatsoever that could help in this investigation, please contact us,” Nashville Metro police spokesman Don Aaron said during a press conference on Tuesday, according to the station.
