Singer-songwriters Zach Williams and Lauren Daigle are the top artist nominees for the 2017 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, which recognizes Christian music makers in a variety of genres.

The Nashville-based association revealed this year’s nominees Wednesday morning with a live video stream.

Williams and Daigle lead the pack of nominated artists with five nominations each, though neither are up for the show’s big award, Artist of the Year. That category’s nominees include Chris Tomlin, For King & Country, Hillsong United, MercyMe and TobyMac.

Other top nominees include Tomlin, Crowder, Kirk Franklin and NEEDTOBREATHE. And behind-the-scenes players are in for a big night, too: Writer/producer Wayne Haun has the most nominations overall, with six nods, followed by Bernie Herms and David Garcia with five each.

The 2017 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards take place October 17, 2017 in Nashville at at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena. The show will be filmed, and will air on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on October 22.
