The simple purpose of this broadcast is to motivate, encourage, and exhort you to Just Pray. This radio broadcast is not necessarily for people who already know the secret and power of prayer and who actually practice genuine prayer on a regular basis, rather it is for those who may find it difficult to pray or for people who claim they do not have time to pray. I am convinced that most Christian people do not need to learn how to pray; they need to Just Pray! If I can get you to just pray, all sorts of wonderful things will begin to happen for you, your family, and whatever God has called you to do. We do not pray based upon our subjective feelings, we pray based upon objective facts in the Word of God.
POEM: “No Time To Pray” by Grace L. Naessens
Our prayer motivator passage from the Word of God today is Psalm 39:12 which reads: “Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.”
Our featured prayer motivator quote is from an Unknown Author. He said: “Every convert is the result of the Holy Spirit’s pleading in answer to the prayers of some believer.”
My personal encouragement for you today is this: Here are four benefits that I have personally received from prayer to God, and that I know you can receive as well. (1) Prayer to God will deliver you from temptation, evil, and sin. (2) Prayer to God will protect you from hurt, harm, and danger. (3) Prayer to God will deliver you out of bad situations and trouble. And (4) Prayer to God will do things for you “exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think.”
Our prayer motivator devotional today is titled “PRAYER AND THE HOUSE OF GOD” part 4 from the book, “Necessity of Prayer” by E.M. Bounds.
With this righteous king, God’s Word was of great importance. He esteemed it at its proper worth, and counted a knowledge of it to be of such grave importance, as to demand his consulting God in prayer about it, and to warrant the gathering together of the notables of his kingdom, so that they, together with himself, should be instructed out of God’s Book concerning God’s Law.
When Ezra, returned from Babylon, was seeking the reconstruction of his nation, the people, themselves, were alive to the situation, and, on one occasion, the priests, Levites and people assembled themselves together as one man before the water gate.
“And they spake unto Ezra the scribe, to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel. And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation, both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding. And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.”
