This Tuesday at Oprah Winfrey’s house was perhaps a little more festive than an average day at Oprah’s house—which is, presumably, quite grand. But Tuesday at Oprah’s was “Wonder Woman Day,” when the big O invited 28 10-year-olds to her Los Angeles home to celebrate the first female-led superhero film. It’s not surprising that Winfrey made room for this party in her social calendar, as she’s long been mentoring girls—her Leadership Academy for Girls has been around for a decade now. Winfrey could not let this momentous occasion for women in film go by without recognizing it.

In a video (which Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot retweeted), Winfrey puts the finishing touches on the cake—a Wonder Woman topper. “Wonderrrr wooooman,” Winfrey says in her familiar booming voice, as if announcing the superhero as a guest on her talk show.

Wonder Woman’s arrival in theaters is also perfectly timed with Emmys voting season, when TV’s wonder women take front and center in people’s minds. Oprah, who this year starred in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks on HBO and was an executive producer on Queen Sugar, is possibly in the running for her own Emmy nod. If Emmy voters hadn’t already seen O’s work, this Gal Gadot-endorsed video might just push them to do so.

Regardless, Winfrey just gave 28 10-year-old girls a day to remember—and a mentor whose name no one can forget. In an interview with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, she shared her thoughts on what it means to her to help young people.

“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself. A mentor is someone who allows you to know that no matter how dark the night, in the morning joy will come. A mentor is someone who allows you to see the higher part of yourself when sometimes it becomes hidden to your own view.”

And feeds you Wonder Woman cake. Don’t forget the cake.

#wonderwoman party planning.
