Jeff Bezos has another feather to put in his cap.
The Amazon chief’s aerospace company Blue Origin earned the 2017 Collier award Wednesday from the National Aeronautic Association (NAA). The non-profit comprises individual citizens, companies and aviation groups and has been recording American achievements in flight for over a century.
The NAA bestowed the honor onto Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket system, praising the spacecraft for five successful test flights of its reusable booster. The rocket booster also managed to safely land under power vertically upon returning to earth.
