The new documentary Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992 (out April 21) traces the escalating tensions in L.A., which ultimately culminated in the 1992 riots following the verdict in the Rodney King case.
The film features exclusive interviews with eyewitnesses and people directly involved in the events from diverse neighborhoods across the city.
Let It Fall is directed by John Ridley, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of 12 Years a Slave and executive producer of the TV show, American Crime. The film is produced in partnership with ABC News’ Lincoln Square Productions and ABC will air a version of the documentary on Friday, April 28, at 9 p.m. ET, pegged to the 25th anniversary of the uprising in L.A.
