Lecrae Visits Cemeteries When Feeling Down to Be Reminded ‘This All Ends One Day’

Rapper Lecrae hit the stage at Together 2016 and led thousands in a prayer, July 16, 2016.

When Lecrae Devaughn Moore is feeling down, he likes to visit cemeteries.

At least that’s what he told one fan during a question and answer session on the blogging platform Tumblr Monday. The rapper had an interesting answer for one person who questioned “where’s your favorite place to go when you’re feeling down?”

The 37-year-old rapper admitted it was odd that he found peace where bodies are buried.

“Oddly enough I like cemeteries,” he revealed. “They are peaceful and allow me to remember this all ends one day.”

Before the world came to know him for his music, the Grammy Award-winning rapper did not grow up with a great deal of peace in his life.

“I wrestled with a sense of self-worth because my dad decided drugs would be better than hanging out with his own son,” he previously said in an interview with The 700 Club. “My uncles were young and wrapped up in the streets, gangs and drugs and just promiscuous. I idolized it.”
