Trump Blasts Nordstrom’s ‘Unfair’ Treatment of Daughter Ivanka

President Trump on Wednesday attempted to use his presidential clout to publicly attack a luxury department store for deciding to end its relationship with his daughter’s company. Bloomberg reported the move by the Seattle-based Nordstrom last week as being performance-based. “Based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” the company said in a statement. In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Trump fumed: “My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person—always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!” The president’s rant against a private business over its dealings with his family comes in direct contradiction of his representatives repeatedly claiming that Trump is “completely isolating himself from his business interests” to concentrate on “the people’s business.”
