U.K. Parliament to Debate Whether to Allow Trump Visit

The United Kingdom’s Parliament will debate next month on whether to approve an official visit by U.S. President Donald Trump. The debate, which was prompted by an online petition that raked in nearly 2 million signatures, will be held in the House of Commons on February 20. A separate petition in support of a Trump visit met the 100,000-signature threshold, meaning it will also be debated in Parliament. In his first official meeting with a foreign leader as president, Trump met last week with British Prime Minister Theresa May at the White House. They also held a joint press conference.
