Michelle Obama is making the most of her last two days as first lady, before the Trumps move in.

In a video posted to her Twitter account on Wednesday, the first lady took a stroll through the White House with the family dogs, taking in every last detail of the historic building where she raised her two daughters these past eight years.

The clip begins in the Cross Hall, with Mrs Obama calling Bo and Sunny over to her.

She then leads the dogs through the South Portico side of the first floor, slowly taking in the East Room, Green Room, Blue Room and Red Room – George Washington’s portrait visible in the background.

As is tradition, the White House staff will move the Obamas out and the Trumps in over the course of inauguration day on Friday.

President Obama and Michelle won’t be going too far though. They’ve snatched up a house in the ritzy Kalorama area of DC so that youngest daughter Sasha can finish high school.

On Wednesday, workers were seen putting the final touches on the house, as movers hauled furniture out of the West Wing.

Mrs Obama hasn’t confirmed what her plans are after her husband ends his presidency, but she has repeatedly shot down suggestions that she run for office.

While she may not fancy herself a politician, Mrs Obama says she will stay dedicated to her causes – such as the physical health of America’s youth.

In an appearance on the Tonight Show last week, Mrs Obama said: ‘Yeah I’m not done, I’m too young!’

The Obama’s new home is just blocks from the home future first daughter Ivanka Trump and her family are moving into.

Ivanka is set to take on a role similar to the First Lady, working in the East Wing of the White House in the newly-dubbed ‘Office of the First Family’. Her husband Jared is also taking an unpaid position as a special adviser to President Trump.

Ivanka posted pictures on Instagram on Wednesday, showing daughter Arabella posing among the many moving boxes at their Manhattan apartment.
