Elderly Driver at Fault In Pastor Cory Condrey’s Car Accident Has Died; Condrey Asks Believers to Pray For Driver’s Family

The driver that plowed into a Georgia pastor, leaving him with several broken bones, has died.

Cory Condrey of Rain Fire Church delivered the sad news on Twitter Monday.

“I found out today, the man that hit me in the car accident passed away,” wrote the preacher and radio personality, adding, “please pray for his family.”

An elderly minivan driver speeding in the wrong lane from the opposite direction slammed into the former BET “Lift Every Voice” host’s pickup truck.

He had been in a coma for weeks before succumbing.

Condrey sustained painful injuries in the head-on crash, including broken ribs and fractured bones in his legs, requiring two surgeries.

“I saw the guy coming towards me. I couldn’t go left, and I couldn’t go right. So I was like stuck,” explained Condrey in a recent Periscope video, where he credits the power of prayer with his miraculous survival.

Though the Condrey Evangelistic Association co-founder is presently confined to a wheelchair, he has full function of his limbs and is praying for a speedy recovery.

“Hearing the news that he passed, broke my heart,” said Condrey in response to a Twitter follower’s offering of prayer. The compassionate urban evangelist was praying for the comatose man’s awakening and healing.

“What I could have done is I could have taken the approach of, he’s my enemy now, but he’s not my enemy, because the enemy will use whoever he can use,” said Condrey on Periscope.

Rather than being upset with the motorist at fault, the recovering minister tweeted, “I’m furious at the devil” over the loss of the other man’s life.

Prayers continue to pour out for Condrey and his family, with believers across the nation standing in faith for the total restoration of his health and well-being.

Now the Body of Christ is interceding on behalf of the deceased man’s grieving loved ones.
