Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton both plan to attend the 58th Presidential Inauguration Ceremony, despite earlier reports that both families might not be attending. Until Tuesday, Jimmy Carter was the only former president to RSVP to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. According to a statement released by Bush, he and former First Lady Laura Bush “are pleased to be able to witness the peaceful transfer of power—a hallmark of American democracy—and swearing-in of President Trump and Vice President Pence.” Clinton and former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton will also reportedly attend. George H. W. Bush, who is now 92 years old, has said he will not be attending, citing his age.
