A FedEx delivery truck was stolen in Glendale Tuesday morning by two armed men, police said.
The confrontation began at 8:30 a.m. in the area of 86th Drive and Oregon Avenue, said Sgt. Scott Waite, Glendale police spokesman. The driver was dropping off a package and returned to the truck to see a man in the vehicle, Waite said.
The man pointed a handgun at the FedEx driver as a white sedan pulled up, Waite said. The driver of the second vehicle also pointed a handgun at the FedEx driver, Waite said.
Both vehicles headed west on Oregon Avenue and then turned south toward Camelback Road, Waite said.
The men were described as armed and dangerous. Police said that anybody who sees the stolen truck should not approach it and call 911.
