Denver Broncos’ wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was in the delivery room to welcome the birth of his baby girl on Tuesday, even though his wife filed for divorce in October and was granted a restraining order against him, TMZ reported.

Gabriella Sanders filed divorce documents in Texas at the end of October after three years of marriage, citing a ‘discord or conflict of personalities’, it has been reported.

While the judge granted a temporary restraining order against Emmanuel, he was given ‘limited access’ to their children.

But the couple appeared to be delighted on Tuesday in a photograph the football player posted to Instagram announcing his daughter’s birth.

Gabriella filed for divorce claiming ‘the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities,’ according to court documents cited by TMZ.

It remains unclear why she filed for divorce, but a judge gave Gabriella a temporary restraining order to keep the NFL player away.

He was, however, given ‘limited access’ to their two-year-old son and newborn daughter.

Gabriella also asked for child support and requested a ‘disproportionate share’ of their assets, attributing the cause of the divorce to Emmanuel, TMZ reported.

On Tuesday, Emmanuel posted a photograph of their whole family in the hopsital, which he captioned: ‘The name is ZOIE…ZOIE Sanders.’

The 29-year-old football player was picked to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers before he joined the Broncos in 2014.

He married Gabriella Waheed in 2013.
