President-elect Donald Trump’s team is investigating how to move the United States’ embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, according to Israel’s Channel 2 News.
Officials reportedly are also exploring a site for the embassy, with the Diplomat Hotel mentioned as one option.
The Israeli report echoes comments made by Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, who said Tuesday that moving the embassy to Jerusalem is “a very big priority.”
“That is a very big priority for this president-elect, Donald Trump. He made that very clear during the campaign, Hugh,” Conway told The Hugh Hewitt Show. “And as president-elect, I’ve heard him repeat it several times, privately, if not publicly.”
