Of all the things we love about actress, television host, Bible teacher and best-selling author Priscilla Shirer (Uh, what’s not to love?), her natural hair is among them.
That’s why EEW Online Magazine’s beauty editors were excited when the beautiful naturalista revealed hair secrets on Instagram.
The War Room actress, who represents major hair goals, shared how she got her mane to look so fabulous in the Box office number-one movie.
And no, it wasn’t a weave.
“My hair was not weaved or in extensions in the movie,” she told an Instagram follower of her wildly successful acting debut in War Room. “It was in a twist-out style.”
Now, for those who aren’t familiar with natural hair lingo and styling processes, the host of “The Chat” explains how to achieve a twist-out in three easy steps: “Wash, blow out, then small twists.”
Shirer, 41, who played Elizabeth in the movie—a woman whose rocky marriage was saved through a battle plan of prayer—further explained, “In some scenes the twists were left in. In most of them, we took the twists out–which left the wavy print.”
So, there you have it. Shirer’s long, flowing, healthy locks are Au Naturel and maintained through good maintenance practices like trimming.
