Hey. Tom. Tom Brady. Here’s the appropriate way to talk about Donald’s Trump “locker room talk,” in case you’re wondering.

Cavaliers star LeBron James joins a very large chorus of current and former pro athletes (and veteran reporters) refuting the Republican presidential nominee’s contention that vulgar comments he made about women in 2005 reflect anything nearing acceptable behavior in a locker room. They don’t.

For some reason, Brady chose to walk away when asked about the issue on Wednesday.

It’s important for athletes to be well-informed and careful when they discuss societal issues. Because they’re role models, whether they should be or want to be. There is no escaping it.

And James, who recently endorsed Hillary Clinton,  has gotten better at speaking his mind as his career has progressed.

But this isn’t that. There’s nothing controversial about this. He is simply being a decent and normal human being, dismissing even the faintest notion that Trump’s degrading of women should ever be accepted. That’s the least he could do. It’s the least anyone should do.
