U.S. Announces $364 Million More In Aid to Syria

The U.S. State Department announced on Tuesday that it would be providing an additional $364 million in humanitarian aid to Syria, for citizens embroiled in the country’s civil war. Overall, that would mean that the U.S. has spent some $5.9 billion in assistance to Syria. Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration Anne Richard said that the money would help both those in Syria and Syrians who have fled the country during the years-long crisis.
