Dwyane Wade Tells “Food & Wine” Magazine: I Trust LeBron James to Order Restaurant Food for Me Over My Wife

Dwyane Wade knows this statement might put him in hot water with his wife, Gabrielle Union, but the basketball star says he trusts LeBron James‘ palate above everyone else’s.

“LeBron is one of my best friends. When we eat out he’s like, ‘You should try this,’ and he knows exactly what to order for me,” Wade tells Food & Wine in a new interview. “This might get me in trouble, but I would have LeBron order for me before I would let me wife. She’d get me nine different things to be sure there’s something I like. LeBron just knows.”

Though that’s not to say that Wade doesn’t leave important decisions to Union. When it comes to their new venture of flipping houses, which is the inspiration of their upcoming HGTV show, his wife is the one in charge.

“My wife and I built our homes in Miami and L.A. We love making a house beautiful and making it ours,” Wade says. “We’ve been working with HGTV on a house-flipping show, which is pretty cool. I’m involved with a lot of it, but will definitely leave the kitchen decisions to Gabrielle.”
