American Dalilah Muhammad dominated the 400-meter hurdles on Thursday, winning gold in 53.13 seconds as a light rain fell on Olympic Stadium.
A former Southern Cal hurdler, Muhammad overcame an injury-plagued 2015 season and won the U.S. trials earlier this year. She was the silver medalist in this event at the world championships in 2013.
