Say goodbye to the Boy Who Lived.
J.K. Rowling confirmed Saturday that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the eighth installment in the beloved series, will be the last.
“He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we’re done. This is the next generation, you know,” Rowling, 51, told Reuters at the Saturday premiere of the play in London. “So, I’m thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.”
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike, picks up 19 years after the end of the original series, with a middle-aged Potter working in the Ministry of Magic and his son, Albus, entering the wizarding world for the first time.
