Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monàe Performing at White House for 4th of July Concert

Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monàe are making a return to the White House to honor the military for a 4th of July concert.

According to Politico, the announcement was made during White House press secretary Josh Earnest’s briefs meeting on Friday (July 1.)  For Independence Day, President Barack Obama along with First Lady Michelle Obama will celebrate the holiday with the families of the military. On hand will be plenty of food, fireworks and special performances by the “Alright” rapper and the Electric Lady. “White House staff and their families from throughout the administration will also attend this event for the fireworks viewing,” Earnest said. “There will also be a performance on Monday evening by fellow Kansas Citian Janelle Monáe and Kendrick Lamar.”
