A Serbian man opened fire on a café early Saturday morning using an assault rifle, killing five and injuring another 22 people. The attack occurred in northern Serbia during a local festival. The shooter, who has been identified only as a man in his late thirties, is in police custody. He may have been acting out of jealousy, police said, as he murdered his estranged wife and another woman prior to the attack. Seven of the 22 people injured are currently in critical condition.
