Police Identify Teen Who Made Online Threats Against Mall of Georgia

Gwinnett County police say they have identified the person responsible for making online threats against the Mall of Georgia.

Police said there was no active shooter on the scene Tuesday afternoon, but that threats against the mall in Buford led to their response, and that they would continue to have units on scene for an “undetermined amount of time”.

Police said the threats were made on Monday in an online game chat room and stated specifically that the shooting would take place at 3 p.m. Police said the person who made the threats specifically said they would shoot a certain number of people before killing themselves.
