Two teen girls were detained Friday, a day after a 78-year-old woman was kicked and punched on a Brooklyn subway platform, police said.

The mother of one of two teen girls brought her daughter to an NYPD precinct on Friday, police said. The second girl was later detained.

The girls, who are 15 and 16, are accused of punching and kicking a woman repeatedly on the Franklin Avenue “C” train subway platform in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The brutal attack allegedly happened after the woman asked one the the girls to move her feet off a chair in a subway so she could sit. An argument then ensued.

Surveillance images of the two teens being sought were released on Friday. Hours later, the girls were both detained.

The 16-year-old girl has been charged with felony assault.

Police did not immediately provide additional information.
