Ted Cruz has overtaken Donald Trump nationally in a Reuters tracking poll, leading by a 39-37 margin on Tuesday.
The poll shows Trump has run into serious trouble over the past week, which saw campaign manager Corey Lewandowski arrested for battery for grabbing a reporter and Trump change his position on abortion three times after there should be “punishment” for women who terminate their pregnancies.
Trump has frequently cited the Reuters tracking poll in speeches and on television.
