“Before The Casket” is an emotional yet powerful presentation that is designed to openly discuss the impact of homicides and violence in the black community, while encouraging a non-violent approach to conflict that normally precedes violent deaths.
The presenters will include a police officer, homicide detective, coroner and funeral director.
Attendees will also hear from three families who have lost a loved one to homicide. More recently; the young college student at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff who was shot to death on September 23, 2015 as he slept in his off-campus apartment.
The presentation will be held Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Valley Baptist Church located at 1821 Wolfe Street in Little Rock.
