It’s troubling enough, says a conservative watchdog organization, that the U.S. Air Force Academy is attacking cadets who hold traditional Christian beliefs – but now there’s evidence the Academy is paying for cadets to attend pagan festivals.
Judicial Watch has obtained documents via a Freedom of Information Act request that reveal the Air Force Academy has used its chapel tithes and offering fund to pay for cadets to participate in worship services celebrating things such as witchcraft and voodoo.
The group says the documents reveal that (1) a group called “Spiritual Programs in Religious Education” hosted events at the Cadet Chapel Falcon Circle on the Academy’s campus; and (2) the Academy paid to send cadets to among other things a Wiccan festival in Denver in May 2014 and “The Denver Witches Ball” in October of the same year.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, spoke with OneNewsNow about his group’s findings. He says the tithes and offering fund, though funded by “free-will donations,” is also defined as “instrumentality of the United States Government.”
