Malachi Love-Robinson, the 18-year-old arrested last month on accusations of impersonating a doctor, has been arrested again.

Taken into custody Tuesday, the teen — who was also accused of posing as a doctor at a West Palm Beach hospital in 2015 — appeared in court Wednesday morning and was ordered by Judge Joseph Marx to undergo a mental health assessment.

Love-Robinson, of West Palm Beach, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday on one count of larceny and five counts of using another person’s identification without consent, records show.

The teen’s latest charges stem from allegations that he was cashing checks stolen during house calls he made to an 86-year-old woman who said she found the 18-year-old through an online search.

In court Wednesday, a somber Love-Robinson wore a blue jail uniform. He didn’t speak.

Among the sparse crowd in the courtroom were his grandfather and another man, who said nothing as Judge Marx spoke with Love-Robinson’s attorney, Andrew Stine.

After the judge granted him supervised release, Love-Robinson left the jail but walked straight to a waiting car. He didn’t speak when questioned by reporters.

The latest chapter in the Love-Robinson saga follows an incident in January 2015, when he was accused of posing as a doctor at a St. Mary’s Medical Center outpatient building. Sources and records show that Love-Robinson, just 17 at the time, was wearing a white lab coat when he peeked into a gynecological exam.

Then, on Feb. 16, he was arrested on a charge of practicing medicine without a license after being accused of pretending to be a doctor and opening a clinic in West Palm Beach. The arrest came after he gave physical exams and medical advice to people, including an undercover officer, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said. He was released on bond after that arrest.
