GIF fans rejoice: Twitter is adding a button on iOS, Android and the Web so you can search for GIFs by keyword and insert them into tweets and direct messages with a single tap.
GIFs have become a mainstay of pop culture, illustrating in moving images the good, bad and the ugly of the Internet.
More than 100 million GIFs were shared on Twitter last year, the company says. And now Twitter is looking to GIFs as another way to increase engagement on the service that is struggling with slowing user growth.
