Police have made two arrests in the shooting of a toddler and his father at a Southeast Washington barbershop and are still looking for a third suspect.
Terrance Atchinson, 21, and Barry Bloomfield, 27, were arrested this week and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, police announced Thursday.
Police are still searching for Anthony Chambers of Southeast D.C. He is also facing an assault with a dangerous weapon charge.
The man and his young son were shot Feb. 12 while inside Wrenn’s Barbershop on 8th Street SE.
The little boy was asleep in his father’s lap, waiting to get his hair cut, when three men wearing masks entered the business and one man opened fire, police and witnesses said. Both the father and his son were hit.
The toddler and his father were rushed to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, D.C. police said.
Police say Chambers should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information that can help police is asked to call 202-727-9099.
