Technology billionaire Paul Allen’s superyacht is accused of destroying large portions of protected coral while in the Cayman Islands.

Local officials say that the Microsoft co-founder could face a fine of $600,000 after 11,000 square feet of the threatened sea life, according to CNN.

The $18 billion man is not believed to have been aboard the M/V Tatoosh at the time.

His investment company Vulcan said that the 303-foot ship’s crew was being directed by port officials in the West Bay replenishment zone when the damage occurred.
