Two adorable mountain lion kittens were found nestled in California’s Santa Monica Mountains in December.
Biologists for the National Park Service discovered the female and male kittens while tracking the GPS coordinates of their mother, whom they have studied since she was just a kitten herself. The momma cat’s babies are believed to have been born sometime at the end of November, according to Kate Kuykendall, a spokesperson for the National Park Service.
Despite being born in a pretty congested area, Kuykendall said the Santa Monica Mountains are actually a high-quality habitat for wildlife.
