Derrick Henry’s dominant run at Alabama has come to an end, as the junior running back will declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.

ESPN’s Joe Schad was the first to report the news:

Henry’s season could not have been much better. The junior had 2,219 rushing yards — breaking Herschel Walker’s SEC single-season record of 1,891 set in 1981 — and 28 touchdowns and captured both the Heisman Trophy and the National Championship. Not a bad season for a first-year starter.
